  • Pizza guy just delivered and told me that our mulch might be the best he's ever seen... Never seen it so fine... I told him we got it from Landmark Lawn & Garden on Prospect! Thanks again! Looks great!

  • My first visit here was for a free Build-a-Birdhouse workshop, where they provided all the materials plus extra goodies. It was a very fun, well-planned event. I came back later to buy dog food, and the staff was very friendly, knowledgeable and eager to help - asking what I needed when I walked in, guiding me straight to it, and even carrying it out to my car. I'm anxious to explore their birding club and see what other events they come up with.

Snapshot Weed Preventer 50#

Item Number: 506629-740491
Our Price: $149.99

4 Times Stronger than Preen.

Snapshot works around the clock for up to six to eight months.

As the weed seeds germinate, Snapshot disrupts their development. Seedlings gradually die before they ever break the soil surface. Snapshot should be activated by at least 1/2 inch of rainfall or irrigation to set up a solid control area around weed seedlings. There, it bonds tightly with soil particles and is low in water solubility, so it won’t move out of the application zone. Rainfall or irrigation should occur within three days after application of Snapshot® specialty herbicide for optimum results. If rainfall or irrigation has not occurred within the required time frame, Snapshot should be activated using cultivation equipment capable of uniformly mixing it into the upper 1 to 2 inches of soil.

Research shows that effective weed control can increase ornamental growth by 50 percent or more. Snapshot controls or suppresses more than 111 broadleaf weeds and annual grasses, including:

• Barnyardgrass

• Bittercress

• Common chickweed

• Foxtail

• Goosegrass

• Groundsel

• Marestail

• Oxalis

• Ragweed

• Spurge

Snapshot® specialty herbicide contains the active ingredients isoxaben and trifluralin. Isoxaben is found in Gallery® specialty herbicide, and trifluralin is a component of Team® Pro specialty herbicide. Together, they provide excellent plant tolerance and long-lasting, broad-spectrum weed control.

Apply Snapshot in early spring prior to germination of target weeds, in late summer to early fall, or any time immediately after cultivation. Following application, monitor weed control over time to determine if additional applications may be needed. Depending on the weeds to be controlled, apply the labeled rate of 2.3 to 4.6 pounds per 1,000 square feet, using a rotary spreader. Calibrate application equipment prior to use according to the manufacturer’s directions. Check frequently to be sure equipment is working properly and distributing granules uniformly. More uniform application can be achieved by spreading half of the required amount of product over the area and then applying the remaining half in swaths at right angles to the first application.

• Snapshot does not control established weeds. Apply prior to weed seed germination, or control existing weeds by cultivation or with a post emergence herbicide.

• Weed residues, prunings and debris should be removed or thoroughly mixed into soil prior to treatment.

• Repeat applications at the rate of 150 pounds per acre and higher should not be made within 60 days of original application. Do not apply more than 600 pounds per acre within a 12-month period.

• Do not apply Snapshot to:

– Newly transplanted ornamentals (until soil has been settled by packing and irrigation or rainfall)
